From the flame-cooked flavour of wood or charcoal, to the ease of gas (with the Ooni Karu 16 Gas Burner – sold separately), you can heat up the Karu 16 any way you like.
What sets this oven apart is the heat time. You can go from zero to 950°F / 500°C in just 15 minutes, keeping the option of an impromptu pizza party always on the table! Once your Karu 16 hits the ideal temperature, you’ll be able to stone-bake your creations in just 60 seconds – meaning, you’ll have no trouble keeping your guests topped up with pizza.
Of course, you’ll also be able to serve more than just pizza at your parties. Whether it’s perfectly seared Tomahawk steaks or a flame-roasted leg of lamb, you can cook a whole range of delicious dishes in no time with the Ooni Karu 16.
A designer item.
Every aspect of the Ooni Karu 16 Multi-Fuel Oven has been meticulously designed – building on years of experience. Its carbon steel shell has a high temperature-resistant powder-coated finish. This means it’s tough enough to stand up to any weather but also keep the heat in while cooking.
Then there’s the 15mm thick cordierite pizza stone. This helps the oven retain heat and recharge quickly between launches. Even better, it has an extra wide cooking area thanks to the over 40cm (16") baking stone and tall internal oven height – so you’ll have plenty of space to create up to 16″ pizzas. Who doesn’t like to go large when it comes to pizza? There’s also room to branch out and cook meat and bread.
What’s more, the Karu 16 helps you stay in control of the temperature. With one vent inside the main body and another on the chimney, it offers twice the airflow control. This gives you more flexibility and lets you experiment with lower temperatures and slower cooking.
